Here's my story in an organic nutshell: In 1997 I was diagnosed with the early stages of cervical cancer. God, not again! Only two years prior I had undergone surgery to remove what I thought was the entire disease. That was the physical manifestation of dis-ease, I believe, but obviously not the root cause. Because of my nearly life long and very instinctual dream of natural motherhood, I firmly knew that I�d better not have any more of my female body cut out or allopathically manipulated. Plus, at twenty and then again at twenty two, this and my other ailments did not make for a very promising medical track record thus far. My next move was a primal one, brought about by nothing more admirable than sheer desperation. I consciously gave my life over to "the higher powers that be". We had always been in touch, but this time the ante was up. Very unheroically, I threw in the towel, threw up my arms, and fell over asking (what seemed to be the quiet air in front of me) for help. Anything. Within seconds I felt a promising ease, and no less than twenty minutes later met up with the first in a life-long series of teachers, helpers, guides and pertinent informational resources. Basically, I focused on fasting and meditation and reaped what seemed to be miracles. Now I call it Natural Law. Soon, the doctors befuddledly pronounced me cancer-free. Under Divine Guidance I experienced a thorough transformational and apparent vibrational shift. After which, I became very aware of beautiful subtler energies of plants, animals, and clearly from all people. I feel blessed to work under the same principles as the Ancient Tibetan and more recent Japanese Reiki Masters. The creative force continues to lead me allowing others and myself to heal and grow. This very power also gave birth to the original Chakra17 in New York City, where I gratefully "worked" amongst my truly loved and wonderful family, and now to the Chakra17 West in Portland where I now live with my husband, Josh.
